The streak continues.

Since 2007, the Los Angeles Dodgers have avoided an arbitration hearing by settling with all of their eligible players. This year it was seven players that they agreed to one-year deals with (Pedro Baez, Josh Fields, Yimi Garcia, Kiké Hernandez, Joc Pederson, Corey Seager and Chris Taylor).

Figures from the deals have not been reported yet. It was expected that the team would come to an agreement with all seven guys. Arbitration hearings pit team against player and in some cases, can create some bad blood between the two sides.

Yimi Garcia may be the only one of the bunch that isn’t expected to play a big role for the team in 2019 but he will be given the chance to do so. Baez and Hernandez are coming off career years, while Pederson and Taylor were solid contributors to the reigning NL champs. Fields and Seager were both affected by injuries (in largely different capacities) and are looking to bounce back.
